Fantastic Song

Here is a song I found in Yahoo Answers. Kinda random, huh? Well anyway I think you should check it out, it really is amazing!!!

Perfect little cheerleader stands up to the crowd
Everything she does makes mom and daddy proud
She’s the homecoming queen, the coolest girl in town
And next year she will surely be Harvard bound

She’s been a pageant queen from the time she was a baby
And now she’s growing up into the perfect little lady
She charms all the boys and the teachers at school
Sometimes it seems she’s unnaturally cool

But what you see on the outside isn’t what you get
She’s gotten tangled up in her own messy net
Each day she comes home and races to the tub
And she sits alone and she starts to sob

Chorus:
All the pain comes rushing out red
She screams all the words she wishes that she said
I’m no perfect angel can’t you see?
Why does the world want so much out of me?

Each time she does it she prays she doesn’t die
But the cool stream of blood just makes her feel alright
She covers up her arms with band-aids galore
And goes straight to bed, her arms are so sore

At school she tries to hide it, can’t let them see
She’s not the girl that she’s cracked up to be
She’s trapped in a world of pain and emotion
And yet no one in the world seems to even notice

And now long sleeves are all she wears
To cover up the mess, the wear and tear
Each day she comes home and races to the tub
And she sits alone and she starts to sob

Chrous

But one day on the bus I think I see a cut
She sees my stare and covers it up
It’s too late now, I’ve already seen it
And I don’t know if I can keep it a secret

She gets off at her stop just like everyday
She pulls out the blade that makes her feel okay
Across to the hospital and down to the grave
The crosses on her wrist ain’t the kind that save

Chorus

She wakes up in the hospital at 3am
Realizes what she’s done, and prays her life won’t end
She wonders how she ever let it get this far
She wonders how no one knew about her horrors

Her mama’s at her bedside clinging to her bible
And when she sees she’s alive, she puts on the table
She jumps in the bed to be with her little girl
And tells her baby she’s worth more than the world

She feels the pain but it’s not rushing out red
She screams the words she’s never really said
Mama I’m no angel cant you see
So why do you expect so much out of me?

Years pass and a new girl stands up to the crowd
She doesn’t need that knife, and that makes Mom and Daddy proud
