Hey guys! So as you know I was online late here's the first I'll thing to make up for it. I am going to put a small piece of a story I wrote. If you like the story just let me know in the comments- remember, you don't need to be a member to post a comment on this blog anymore (YAY!). If you have any tips or ideas just tell me, I won't bite ;)
Real Reasons
Why not? Becca yelled at her mother, "Everyone else is going, I'll seem anti-social or something. Please!"
"Fine," grumbled Becca's mother, "You can go Becca-Bear but your not going to make your mommy happy."
"Don't say mommy or all my friends will think I'm a loser" grumbled Becca.
Becca was 11 years old but she thought she looked more like 6 or 7. Her blond hair was thick even though it parted in crazy places. Her skin was less tan then a piece of white paper. The only thing she liked about her appearance were her crystal blue eyes. She thought her hideous appearance was the reason why she didn't attract friends like bees were attracted to honey but she had gotten all of that wrong.
As she walked up the steps she thought about who was going with who and realized that she was probably going to be the only one without a date. her hot friend Krista would probably pick up someone, maybe HER crush Liam. She wondered why Krista hadn't ditched her and joined the 'popular' girls, they had been trying to hang out with her all year, but Krista refused to hang out with them. she wondered if Krista knew something about those girls that she didn't. though Becca always joked around about what losers Emma, Alice and their popular girls were; she secretly wanted to be just like them. She wished she could switch lives with Krista, who was smart athletic and could-be popular. Tara also got to shop at all the stores that her mom thought were inappropriate. Becca got away with by saying she couldn't afford the clothes even though her Justice-filled closet cost much more than everyone else's Abercombie or Hollister filled ones.
"Becca your bus is almost here!" shouted her mother, "Get down here soon!"
"Coming mom!" Becca shouted as she grabbed her backpack off her desk and ran downstairs. her mom hugged her and handed a lunchbox to her. "Ughh..." thought Becca. though she used to think she was a healthy eater but this year all the girls seemed to care about there heath more than ever. They acted as if they knew everyone ate healthy even though no one really did. they mentioned how bad white bread was right as she was about to take a bit of her grape jelly and fluff sandwich. Then they began yammering on about how you need grains and protein to grow. That day Becca realized why she was the shortest girl in middle school.
"well I'm wearing a red cami and this cuh-yute pair of distressed shorts" said Krista
"Uhh... Kris, ya know that is way out of dress code." said Becca
"Why. Would. I. Care?"
"Umm... Well I heard Ms. Jonce and Mrs. Riveria are chaperoning and the last thing they care about is the dress code. broke in Kate.
"I know right!" said Tiffany
"Please! said Krista, "Mrs. Reveria is the Spanish teacher so she probably doesn't even know there's a dress code!"
"Kris, we really should follow the dress code and my mom thinks that-"
"Kriss-taa!" said Alice interrupting Becca,"We NEED to talk."
"NO thank you!" said Krista as she began walking away.
Emma who was probably the tallest girl in sixth grade pulled Krista's arm and said "NOW!"
